Privacy Policy

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Apple, Google, or email, we receive your email address and, if your provider shares it, your name. We use this to create and secure your account.

Health and fitness data you provide. Mickey stores what you log: meals and their estimated nutrition (calories, protein, carbs, fat), workouts and activities, and body details you enter (sex, height, weight, age, activity level, and goals), including bodyweight entries over time.

Content you submit. The meal descriptions, photos, and messages you send to the coach, and any feedback you send us.

How we use your information

• To estimate the nutrition of meals you describe or photograph.
• To log and track your nutrition, training, and progress.
• To provide coaching and answer your questions, using your recent history for context.
• To operate, secure, and improve the app.

AI processing

To estimate meals and provide coaching, the text and photos you submit are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (the Claude API), which processes them on our behalf to generate the estimate or response. Meal photos are used only to produce the estimate and are not stored — only the resulting numbers are saved to your account.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run Mickey, who process data on our behalf:

• Supabase — authentication and database storage.
• Microsoft Azure — application hosting.
• Anthropic — AI estimation and coaching (see above).
• Open Food Facts — barcode lookups (only the scanned barcode is sent; no personal data). Product data is provided by Open Food Facts, licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL).

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. Mickey contains no third-party advertising and no cross-app tracking.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account). Your access is revoked immediately; your data and account are permanently removed after a short grace period (currently 30 days), during which signing back in cancels the deletion.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Children

Mickey is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
